The wait is almost over! Following the big news that Shanghai Disney Resort will open on June 16, Disney has just announced that tickets will officially go on sale on March 28, with prices ranging from RMB370-499.
During the grand opening period (June 16-30), tickets will be priced at RMB499 per person. Over that two week period, the park's first ever tourists will be greeted with a “magical" grand opening.
The regular ticket price is RMB370, but during weekends, peak times, holidays and the grand opening, tickets cost RMB499. For each ticket there’s a 25 percent concession for over 65s, children standing between 1m – 1.4m, and people with disabilities. Don’t worry, we’ve done the math for you – RMB280 off-peak and RMB375 on-peak. Kids less than one metre tall get in free.
Visitors who purchase a two-day ticket will receive a 5 percent discount.
The regular RMB370 fee means Shanghai will be the cheapest Disneyland on the map. The second cheapest ticket, for Disneyland Tokyo, currently sits at RMB379 RMB. By contrast, a ticket for Disneyland Hong Kong costs RMB455, and Walt Disney World in Orlando sets you back RMB691.
Full price details in the chart below:
Each ticket allows full-day access to all the entertainment facilities, shows and performances, except for the first-ever Mandarin stage production of the Broadway hit The Lion King, located in Disneytown.
Order tickets from the official website: www.shanghaidisneyresort.com. You can also make reservations by calling 400-180-0000 or 86-21-31580000.
It's important to note that each guest can buy as many as five tickets per order. More ticket channels, including an official Shanghai Disney Resort App, are expected to come out very soon.
And of course, be prepared for the massive crowds that are sure to appear for the opening.
