Mar 17: 5th Shanghai International Pet Expo
Animal lovers won’t want to miss this massive pet expo that includes highlights like China’s second largest national dog competition, with more than 300 famed canines from around the world competing for your love. Pet beauticians and other activities will ensure that your four-legged loved one gets all the attention it deserves, with even on-site pet weddings available.

Mar 19: Natural Fruit Bread and Cranberry Rye Bread Baking Class
Shanghai Young Bakers hosts this class led by Zhang Zhenghai on how to make fruit and cranberry rye bread. All proceeds go to the organization’s program that provides baking lessons for disadvantaged youth across China while opening the path for a culinary career. If more than 10 people register, lunch is free.

Mar 19: Community Center Pet Fair
The Pudong branch of Community Center Shanghai hosts a number of vendors offering up great services and products for the pets. Jaiya’s Animal Rescue (JAR) will also be on-site with plenty of adorable dogs and cats looking for a permanent home.

Bibliophiles of the city, rejoice! The multi-faceted wonders of the written word are being made manifest once more, as literati from around the world alight in Shanghai to dazzle with their wit and wisdom. From a Shanghai living legend presenting the final edition of a beloved to an award-winning master of thrills now conquering the BBC, every creed of author is appearing at Glam to pay homage to the delight of reading from March 19-26.
