The weather in Shanghai will go on a roller coaster ride this week, with hot sunny days forecasted for the first half of the week and rainfall arriving over the weekend, reports Shine.
After the stuffy weather of the past few days, residents were greeted with strong winds today. At 8.10am, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau even released a blue alert for gale, suggesting that pedestrians not ride bikes and stay away from hazardous objects such as hanging billboards. As a result of the cold front from the north, the temperature was pleasant with the highest temperature reaching 24 degrees Celsius (75.2 degrees Fahrenheit) and a low of merely 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 degrees Fahrenheit).
That being said, don’t get fooled by today’s high winds and cool weather. The temperatures will quickly start climbing starting tomorrow. A high of 29 degrees Celsius (84.2 degrees Fahrenheit) has been predicted for Tuesday and the mercury is slated to stay above 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) from Wednesday to Friday. With the sun showing up as well, locals will welcome dry and hot weather.
We know what you’re thinking, but we may still need to wait some time before the official arrival of summer. According to The Weather Channel, the sunny weather will soon be replaced by more showers on Saturday. The rain will also bring down the temperature to around 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
The rain is predicted to last until next Monday. Afterwards, the city will be covered by heavy clouds yet again. Here is a glimpse of the weather forecast for the upcoming days:
