It's common for parents in China to get frustrated and even a little hysteric when their kids aren't performing well in doing the homework. That being said, kids aren't the only victims of parents' yelling; sometimes neighbors can suffer collateral damage.
A couple days ago, a netizen shared a video about his neighbor rebuking her child, complaining that the clamor has severely disturbed their family's rest. In consequence, the neighbor decided to call the police for help. You can watch the video below, and feel the fury and frustration of the parent, below (VPN off):
In the video, we can clearly hear the screaming of the mother and the sobbing of the son. According to the netizen, the parent event slapped the kid before he shot this short video.
"The parent living next door frequently reproach her kid from 8pm to 2am the next morning," maintained the netizen. "As a matter of fact, this is the third time I have been forced to ask the police to intervene."
However, every time they arrived, they expressed that they could do very little about it and weren't able to guarantee his neighbor could behave from then on.

Even though the Ministry of Education recently forbid teachers from assigning homework via WeChat, QQ and learning apps, it seems a great number of the parents still stress out when tutoring their children, as they empathize the mother from the video.
"My son is currently in Grade Three," writes one netizen. "I'm mild to him most of the time. However, whenever I help him with his homework, I can't help release my inner Mr. Hyde."
"Thank god my neighbor never calls the police to turn me in," comments another.
