Buzz Lightyear and Woody fans rejoice, Shanghai Disneyland have officially announced their newest themed addition to the park, Toy Story Land, is on schedule for an April 26, 2018 opening.
Based on the popular Disney Pixar film series, Toy Story Land will be the park’s seventh themed land, adding to the existing Adventure Isle, Gardens of Imagination, Mickey Avenue, Tomorrowland, Treasure Cove and Fantasyland.
With major construction almost complete, the coming months before opening will include testing, quality control and recruitment; where the park will add to their 10,000 current employees and cast members.
The concept of Toy Story Land is to transport visitors to a colorful, oversized world to feel like they have shrunk to the size of a small toy. There wll be a 'roundup' of Woody's friends, so you can mingle with characters, shop in the themed stores and dine at Al’s Toy Barn and the Toy Box Café. Best of all, a visit to the park will now include three new ride attractions; Woody’s Roundup, Slinky Dog Spin and Rex’s Racer.
Woody, Buzz and all their friends will be ready for you just in time for the summer holiday period, so I guess all we have left to say is, “to infinity and beyond” at Shanghai Disney Resort.
