That’s right, by the end of this year, Shanghai Disneyland will launch an app that will enable visitors to download an E-fastpass or premier access ticket on their phones, doing away with the need to queue in person to collect your tickets (although you can still do this if you prefer). This will be available to all guests, at no additional cost, via the park’s mobile app.
While both these tickets are valid for one day only, and cannot be transferred between guests, they allow visitors to take advantage of priority access to a selection of rides, minimizing waiting times.
The official press release states, “Once at the Disney Fastpass entrance of their selected attraction, guests can simply present the QR code on their device or park ticket for scanning. After the validation of the Fastpass and a photo identification, guests will then be able to enjoy the faster access to the fun.”
The fastpass system allows guests to plan entry times in advance for the most popular rides, in order to avoid the need to join long queues. The resort’s mobile app shows up-to-date waiting times for most rides, but hardcopy fastpass tickets are currently only available from three designated points within the park.
