On November 22 at 12.15pm, a man crashed into a group of primary students outside their school in Liaoning province. The deranged driver, who was reportedly depressed after an altercation with his wife, drove into the opposite lane before crashing into the students.
The incident occured in Huludao, a city in Liaoning province, as students from Jianchang county No.2 Primary School were being dismissed from class. Video footage of the accident shows an Audi A6 sedan barreling towards the large group of minors while they are crossing the road next to the school. The disturbing scene brought traffice to a halt as eye witnesses stepped out of their cars to see children's shoes, possessions and blood on the street, according to China Daily.

Currently, six people have been confirmed dead. Nineteen others have been injured, including three severely wounded in the heartless attack. The male driver fled the scene but was apprehended by police shortly after.
The public security bureau has already confirmed the 29-year-old man, surnamed Han, was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the incident occurred. He is now being detained for crimes against public safety. According to reports, Han told the police he felt remorse and admitted to his crimes. An aquaintance of Han also told reporters he was married several years ago and has a young daughter.

“Why are there so many incidents centered on children... The area surrounding schools need to have a reduced speed zone,” one Weibo user posted after seeing the horrible news. Others were quick to call for the suspect to receive the death penalty.
