Rolex Tennis Masters
As the only ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament held outside of Europe and North America, the Shanghai Rolex Masters features a star-studded draw. Seventeen of the world’s top 20 ranked tennis players will take part, including current number one, Novak Djokovic. Also in the mix is Rafa Nadal and two-time Shanghai champion Andy Murray. Top seeds get a first round draw with the second round kicking off on October 13. There will also be doubles.

Shanghai French Week
The 14th Shanghai French Week is back! Taking place on the pedestrian street of Yandang Lu as usual, this large scale French event of the year sees French fashion, French designs and all of the traditional food you could think of including baguettes, pastry, cheese, and wines.

Shanghai International Beer Festival
Perhaps leave the kids at home for this one – but if you are looking for a fun thing to do with friends or your spouse this weekend, we would highly suggest this! This massive celebration of beer is back for the fifth year running. Peruse over 200 beer brands from around the globe, with organizers Bevex Marketing supplying sounds from some of the city’s top DJs and a lively atmosphere that seemingly attracts the entire city.

Organic Farm Visit

SAS Annual International Fair
Over 4,000 people are expected to attend Shanghai American School’s annual international fair. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities like a pumpkin patch, bouncy castle, laser tag, super slides and 60 game booths to choose from. The outdoor marketplace will feature 40 vendors serving up a variety of cuisine from around the world. The ever popular used book sale returns, and there will be performances by student choirs, school bands and cultural dancers. Try your luck in the raffle (RMB25 per ticket or RMB100 for five) for a chance to win prizes such as vacation and hotel packages, spa vouchers, dining coupons, luxury goods and much more.
