Workshop: Early Years Education
Presented by Mr Jared Nolan, Head of Primary at The British International School Shanghai, Puxi. Designed for parents of early years children.
Overview:
This presentation will consider how both the leadership at all levels, and the teaching at BISS Puxi has used research and best practice in EYFS from around the UK to engage parents, enthuse our learners and achieve excellent outcomes for our very youngest children.
Your host:
Mr Nolan has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Child Forensic Psychology. He also has a Master’s degree in Leadership & Management (Education) through the University of South Wales. Jared started his career as a Police Officer in the UK, specializing in the safeguarding of children and receiving a Chief Constables Commendation for his ‘professionalism and dedication to duty’ in this field. His training, experience and aptitude in this arena ignited his interest in child development and in education, leading to a career change in 2005 when he left the Police Service to study for a PGCE with the University of Gloucestershire.
