Feb 8: F45 & That’s Shanghai Sports Awards
Once a year, we gather to recognize those who have truly made their mark on the city’s sports scene: from the home-run hitters and KO punchers to those who lift up their mates when all seems lost. They’re our friends, our family and, occasionally, our blood-thirsty rivals. Don’t miss the awards party, where all the winners will be announced, including several school sport awards.

Feb 10: Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts
This innovative animation tells the story of two cousins who ride a magic piano on a trip across Europe in search of their father. Shanghai Oriental Art Center screens the film with a live performance of the score, which was first performed by renowned pianist Lang Lang. The Shanghai performance will be by virtuoso young pianists Xue Yuan from Shanghai and Lin Yufen from Taiwan.

Feb 12-16 & Feb 19-23: CNY Sewing and Craft Camp
If you are staying in Shanghai for Chinese New Year then this is the perfect opportunity for your kids to get creative! Craft’d holiday camps offer kids a wide variety of creative workshops. In the morning they will be using a sewing machine to create a variety of project they are sure to love. The afternoon will include activities such as soap making, lipstick making, acrylic and watercolor painting, memo boards, yarn crafts and so much more!

All Month: The Palpable Soul of the Surface: Group Exhibition
Art+ Shanghai’s new group exhibition ‘The Palpable Soul of the Surface’ inaugurates the year of 2018 featuring three new artists at the gallery, Fu Shuai, Liu Xi and Xiong Yanjun. Deploying a variety of techniques and skills, these artists animate their artwork with the rich and scrupulously elaborated texture. Each of the work on display carries the human presence that appears in the form of traces left by the hand of the artist.

May 12: The 6th Annual More Than Aware Family Fun Run
The city will turn pink and green once again for the sixth annual ‘More Than Aware’ Family Fun Run! This year, more than 3,000 women, men and children of all ages and cultures will be dressed in pink and green to help promote breast cancer prevention and recovery.
