A couple of days ago, a netizen posted a conversation he had with his 10-year-old nephew on the Internet and it went viral immediately because the boy claimed that his parents were not worthy of such an outstanding boy like him.

According to his uncle, the boy performs well in school, speaks fluent English, and also masters roller-skating and mathematics. In spite of his academic excellence, he seems unhappy about his family.
One of his major complaints about his parents is poverty. While all of his classmates have smartphones, his family is only able to afford a regular watch for kids. To make things worse, he is often looked down upon by his classmates although he outsmarts all of them.
Another complaint about his parents is that they are planning to have a second child. He thinks that it’s nothing but a selfish and irresponsible act. In his defense, his parents’ salaries can barely cover the current expense of the family of three. How can they be able to afford the extra cost for an additional child?
You may think the boy is just another spoiled brat. Well, don’t be so quick to judge. The boy is still grateful to his parents for bringing him to this world. “It’s just that sometimes I don’t feel respected,” says the boy. “They always tell me that I should obey their words because they sacrificed a lot to raise me. They think they love me with everything they’ve got, but they never bother to ask what I want.”
When asked about the future, the boy says firmly, “I want to study abroad.” It seems that everything he does is in accordance with his scheme. He studies mathematics hard to keep his mind sharp. He keeps practicing spoken English to overcome the language barrier after he goes abroad. “I make my own destiny,” the boy declares ambitiously.
Parents always do what’s best for their kids. However, sometimes love can backfire. If one day your own kid turned to you and says, “You guys don’t deserve a good kid like me,” what would you do? Let us know your thoughts.
