The wait is finally over! After months of preparations and spreading the word, Beijing Playhouse will begin its December 5 to 21 run of Christmas musical comedy, Robin Hood, at the National Olympics Sports Center Theater (now Sherwood Forest), over yonder by the Birds Nest.
Though the opening night, December 7 and 9 performances are already sold out, kids and adults ages 6 and up can see Robin, Maid Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck and the Merry Men sing and dance any day until December 21 with two-hour performances starting at 7.30pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends.
With a Chinese spin on the classic Nottingham tale that promises to provide a whole different level of humor for adults, performances will be in English with Chinese subtitles. So this is a great opportunity for kids to be exposed to each language simultaneously.
See the Beijing Playhouse website for more details.
