July 11-17: Traces
Founded by seven former top members of Cirque du Soleil, Les 7 Doigts de la Main has been winning contemporary circus awards by mixing traditional acrobatics with contemporary dance and street elements like skateboarding and basketball. Traces follows seven people trapped inside as an unknown catastrophe is happening outside, who decide to live their last moments to the fullest. Suitable for ages five and up.

July 13-August 7: Slide the City
Since launching in Salt Lake City two years ago, this massive block party has toured more than 100 cities and will make its Asian debut. The Shanghai edition features a slide that organizers are promising will be the “length of a 60-storey building.” On-site vendors will provide food and drink options and can make for a fun day for the whole family!

We must admit, we have moms in mind with this event. K11 bridges their love of fashion and art with this massive exhibition featuring over 300 handbags, some dating as far back as 400 years ago. Big brands like Chanel and Fendi contribute, as do 15 contemporary artists like Adrian Wong and Wang Enlai have created custom pieces. So might not be thrilling for the young ones, but definitely a great girls day out with your teenage daughter or some friends.

July 16: Starlight Summer Bazaar
Bubbly Nation’s courtyard hosts this community market that features F&B artisans, independent designers and local entrepreneurs showing off their latest products and ideas. On-site features include family friendly activities like a kiddie pool and an inflatable obstacle course, F&B pop-ups and a film screening.

July 17: An Afternoon with Mr. Yang
Kick the Gong Around has organized this fair to support calligraphy craftsman and Luxun Park staple Mr. Yang, who was recently hospitalized. Join friends of the community who will be mixing food and drink pop-ups with numerous art performances including a traditional fan dance and a live painting exhibition from Mr. Yang himself. 15 percent of F&B sales will be donated to Mr. Yang.

July 16-late August: Mini ACG Pop-up Store
The mini store will feature three main elements: VR games, AR experience and animation IPs. Children can jump into the virtual animation and multiple space world and make their ACG dreams come true by participating in different events as game characters.
