April 6-10: Young Eyes Photography Competition
The Young Eyes Kids' Photography Exhibition will showcase the world in kids' eyes. Not only will the work be exhibited for five days at The Place, but an awards ceremony will be held to congratulate those who produce photography through the best lens.

April 8: Matroswimming (Babies 4-36 months old)
If you are a swimming fan, what could be a better way to establish a bond with your baby than in the water? With the assistance of professional instructors, Matroswimming gives your baby the aquatic stimulation through games that allow him to float and move in the water. These lessons (in English and Chinese) cater for families with babies from 4 to 36 months old. Lessons last 35 minutes.

April 9: Brunch and Book Reading with Sarah Brennan
Famous children's author Sarah Brennan will hold a reading session about her latest book The Tale of the Ming Kee Monkey at Yew Chung International School Gubei campus on Saturday. Her work has been described as, “A meeting between traditional Asian narratives and the universal taste of children for graphic stories.” Brunch is also provided for families and kids.

April 10: Spring Bazaar
Spring is in the air and it’s time to enjoy outdoors and get off the couch! More than 40 of your most talented local entrepreneurs / creatives are taking over Bubbly Nation and TONGLEFANG courtyard to bring you the most current, authentic designs and lifestyle items that will make your style, mind and mouth POP! There will be some delicious BBQ from Bubbly Nation, music and much more.

April 10: Jinqiao 8K Run
Since its inception in 2002, the Jinqiao 8K Run has become a fixture in Shanghai's annual road race calendar. Debuting back when expat haven Jinqiao district was first being redeveloped, the race has become one of the neighborhood's most popular events. Although registration for the race is closed, your family can go enjoy the competitions, performances and cheer on the runners.
