We are only one week away from the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). By that time, manufacturers from around the globe will converge at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (see cover image) to display their best for the world to see. And, to ensure smooth traffic conditions around the area, selected roads and highways will be closed, reports Shine.
The area enclosed by Huqingping Gong Lu, Huaxu Gong Lu, Tianshan Xi Lu and Qixin Lu (except these roads) will be restricted from November 1-11. This location will be closed for trucks and motorcycles from 6am to 9pm and honking of horns will be prohibited all day.

The area enclosed by Panlong Lu, Huqingping Gong Lu, Huaxiang Lu and Tianshan Xi Lu will also incur restrictions from November 4-10. During the hours of 6am to 9pm, all vehicles without an official pass or license will be banned from entering.

Within Songze Dadao, Panzhen Lu, Panzhong Dong Lu, Panwen Lu, Xumin Dong Lu, Panxiu Lu Yinggang Dong Lu and Laigang Lu all non-motorized vehicles such as bikes and e-bikes are prohibited from entering between November 5-10 during the hours of 8am to 7pm.

In addition, from 7am to 8pm from November 4 to 6, cars with non-Shanghai plates and temporary plates will be unable to use elevated roads, bridges and tunnels in the city.
The police have advised that any violation of these regulations will incur a penalty. They have also instructed civilians to utilize public transportation to visit the controlled areas during the Expo as buses and taxis will not be affected by the restrictions.
