The theater is a great place to nurture a child's imagination and Feathers of Fire: A Persian Epic is an unmissable production, coming this fall! To give you a small nudge to go along and enjoy it, we are giving away four pairs tickets to see the show between November 11-14, at the Shanghai Theater Academy.
Directed by the Guggenheim Fellowship-winning filmmaker Hamid Rahmanian, Feathers of Fire: A Persian Epic is a shadow play adaptation of the 10th-century Persian epic, Shahnameh (‘The Book of Kings’). As the longest epic written by a single author in world history, Shahnameh narrates the adventures of great kings and heroes. Rahmanian's version premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2016, and its heartfelt tales of history and civilization have captured the fancy of critics and families alike.
