Until Sep 25: Disneytown Mid-Autumn Music Fair
To celebrate the upcoming mid-Autumn Festival, Disneytown kicks off a three-week fair next to Wishing Star Lake featuring special performances by the likes of Latino standouts La Reunion, who rocks the house from September 23-25. Of course, there’s plenty of shopping to do in the area and that amusement park they have is actually pretty impressive.

Sep 24-25: The Color Run
The ‘happiest 5K on the planet’ is now held in over 200 cities across 40 countries and is celebrating its fifth birthday. Once again, it returns to Shanghai with three scheduled races. However, it’s not about improving your time but about the literally colorful experience, with participating runners doused in different colors each kilometer of the way.

Sep 24: Knock Out V
The former undefeated world champion Michelle Aboro’s Aboro Academy hosts its fifth annual charity boxing event comprised of nine amateur bouts with proceeds going to the Aboro Foundation, whose mission is to equip the next generation with the tools they need for a healthy future. Sep 24: Commune Market
This celebration of Shanghai street culture features over 80 designers, chefs, craft beer vendors and musicians that have shaped the way the city parties. From Peruvian street food to grilled meets, the Commune Market promises a lively atmosphere where visitors can stock up on handcrafted items created by local artisans and other funky accessories. From 7pm, DJs Leo Chiodaroli, Aaron Key and Nishio spin.
