Aug 2: The Secret Life of Pets
Louis C.K. voices Max, an adorable terrier living large in Manhattan who is driven to jealousy when his owner adopts a new dog called Duke (Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet). However, Max’s quest to rid the home of his new competitor leads to the unlikely pair being lost on the streets, desperately trying to make it home. Comedy stars like Kevin Hart, Steve Coogan, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks voice a colorful cast of characters ranging from vengeful white rabbits to wise basset hounds. Released last month, The Secret Life of Pets has received strong reviews and has already grossed over USD145 million worldwide.

Three beloved stories by award-winning children’s author Eric Carle come to life on stage in a show mixing fanciful puppets and black light that will tickle the audience’s imagination, regardless of age.

Aug 6-7: Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts
Chopin’s music comes alive in this concert that features live piano performed by Derek Wang accompanied by Oscar winning animated shorts originally scored by Lang Lang. The concert tells the story of Anna, her cousin, their magical flying piano and their journey across Europe to find her father. Suitable for ages five and up.

Until Aug 7: Slide the City
Since launching in Salt Lake City two years ago, this massive block party has toured more than 100 cities and will make its Asian debut. The Shanghai edition features a slide that organizers are promising will be the “length of a 60-storey building.” On-site vendors will provide food and drink options.
