今天，我们给大家分享的是《马头琴》（Morin Khuur Suho and the White Horse）节选。马头琴是一种两弦的弦乐器，有梯形的琴身和雕刻成马头形状的琴柄，为蒙古族人民喜爱的乐器。马头琴是蒙古民间拉弦乐器。蒙古语称“潮尔”。琴身木制，长约一米，有两根弦，共鸣箱呈梯形，声音圆润，低回宛转，音量较弱。
相传有一牧人为怀念小马，取其腿骨为柱，头骨为筒，尾毛为弓弦，制成二弦琴，并按小马的模样雕刻了一个马头装在琴柄的顶部，因以得名。郭小川《平炉王出钢记》诗：“牧区的人们听说钢花喷，蒙古包里拉起了马头琴。”
A long, long time ago, there lay an endless plain of grass, a lustrous forest and the beautiful Moon Lake next to the beautiful, golden Alatengaola Mountain. A poor Mongolian family lived by the lake-a brave, hardworking, young man and his mother.
很久以前，金色的阿拉腾敖拉山麓有着一望无际的草原，茂密的森林和一个美丽的月亮湖。湖畔居住着一户贫穷而善良的蒙古族人家，勤劳勇敢的小伙子苏和与他阿妈相依为命。
Seventeen-year old Suho woke up early every morning to take care of his mother and take his herd of goats to graze in the field. He worked tirelessly the whole day.
17岁的苏和每天早早起床，照顾妈妈，放牧羊群，整天忙个不停。
Suho had a very good voice and his fellow herdsmen loved his singing.
苏和有一副好嗓子，牧民们都喜欢听他唱歌。
Suho dreamt about owning a beautiful horse so that one day he could ride across the vast grassland like a real Mongolian horseman.
苏和一直有个梦想一一拥有一匹骏马，骑着马儿在草原上奔驰，成为一个真正的蒙古汉子!
However, his family was so poor that he could not afford to buy a horse. He could only secretly hide his desire.
但是他家太穷了，根本买不起马。他把这个想法偷偷藏在了心里。
One day, Suho was out with his herd of goats. While the goats were grazing in the field, he fell asleep- and had a very strange dream-
一天，苏和像往常一样去放牧。羊儿在草地上吃草时，他躺在山坡上不知不觉地睡着了，迷迷糊地做了一个奇怪的梦一一
Colourful clouds were floating in the blue sky when a beautiful fairy maiden appeared from behind a cloud. She said to Suho, "Listen, you kind-hearted young man. There is a beautiful white horse on the northern side of the lake. Go and take it home with you! "
蓝蓝的天空飘着七彩云，云中走出一位美丽的仙女，她对苏和说:“善良的小伙子，北边的湖边有一匹白駿马，你去把它带回家吧!＂
With a flash of white light, the fairy maiden finished talking and disappeared.
说完，一道白光闪过，仙女就消失得无影无踪了。
Suho woke up and subconsciously turned to look to the north. His eyes were wide open with surprise-
苏和醒过来，他不由自主地向北边看去，顿时惊讶得瞪大了眼晴一一
Sparkling with silvery light, a pure white little foal stood by the side of the Moon Lake. It had a robust body with four strong legs. With shining white hair, it was a foal of a rare breed.
闪着银色光斑的月亮湖边，真的站着一匹全身雪白的小马驹。它身躯粗壮，四肢坚实有力，白色的背毛浓密油亮，是一匹难得的好马。
Suho was extremely excited and rushed towards the little foal. As if it knew Suho already, the little white foal was not afraid and with familiarity, licked Suho's hand.
苏和激动极了，欢快地向它跑了过去。小白马好像天生就认识苏和一样，一点都不害怕，还亲昵地舔了舔苏和的手心。
From that day onward, the two were inseparable companions.
从那天起，苏和就有了一个形影不离的小伙伴。
With Suho's tender care, the little foal slowly grew and turned into a strong beautiful white horse that could gallop with immense speed.
在苏和的精心喂养下，小白马一点点长大了，很快就长成了一匹膘肥体壮、跑起来四蹄生风的白骏马！
