Babies bounced, plants were potted and more than 50 families navigated the Traders Upper East Hotel’s “Family Fun” carnival with a faux passport last Sunday, September 14.
The event was organized into: a Meet the Chef section, Family Fun Painting Garden, Animal “Bouncing” Castle located in the hotel lobby and a final Incredible Family Competition. Attendees won hippo toys, sugary sweet treats and vouchers for dining and rooms at the Shangri-La and other sister hotels.
“These games enhance the intimate and understanding between parents and kids,” director of communications Lisa Ciao wrote in a press release. “Moreover, it improved kids’ ability to create and cooperate with each other.”
Stations where children learned to make their own soap, got their face painted and experienced a Dim Sum Show and Taste section were also available. Traders Upper East Hotel will play host other themed carnivals during Halloween, Christmas and other important eastern and western festivals. All who dine at the Traders Upper East Hotel are open to enrollment, and carnival guests who visit Café Noir, Wu Li Xiang Chinese Restaurant and Kempinski Deli can get a 20 percent discount on buffets or set menus.
