April Fools' Day is here, and what better way to celebrate than playing a few (harmless) tricks on your children? Here some ideas to get your funny bone...
1. Pretend you've spilled 'milk' on one of their favorite possessions
Using a simple mixture of soap and glue, found here, you can make it look like their precious electronics are covered in milk.
2. Make mashed potato and gravy sundaes
Once they hear they're having sundaes for dinner, they'll probably be over the moon. However, as soon as they've tried the first spoon, they'll realize the sneaky trick.
3. Caramel onions, anyone?
Replace apples with white onions for a perfect prank, and watch their shocked faces when they bite into the horrible dessert. Click here to find out how.
4. Cover the TV remote sensor with tape
A simple piece of tape will stop the TV remote working - any child's idea of hell.
5. Make healthy lollipops
Be the meanest parent ever and swap sweets with vegetables. Simply stick lollipop sticks in the bottom and wrap in tissue paper.
6. Jello juice!
Fill your kids cups with jello instead of juice, and watch their surprised faces when they simply can't drink it.
7. Put your clothes on backwards or inside out
Once your child gets dressed, ask them why they're dressed so weirdly. Tell them to go upstairs and get dressed properly. They'll be pretty confused.
8. Move everything around at breakfast
Put everything in different places, such as spoons where the bowls go and vegetables where the cereal is. You can get pretty into this one if you want, and have some ridiculous results.
9. Pick your kids up from school in a silly wig
Tell them you just felt like getting a new hairdo - they will die of embarassment.
10.Tell your children you've made some brownies
Once your children get home from school, tell them there are brownies waiting for them in the kitchen. They'll be devastated once they realize it's empty.
