It sure is indoor weather, so perfect timing for Mini Mars to open their brand spanking new-and-improved play center Mini Mars Jing’an (seems it is replacing the Changde Lu location, which is now closed) on the ground floor of the Jing'an Sports Center. That's the building that houses Cages.
Just like Cages, it is big. Real big. Spread over two floors (well, lots of second floors, located up various stairways and rope ladders), we lost count of the different play zones, but they include a garage, dollhouse and Lego area, pretend restaurant (and a real one, we’ll get to that…), princess dress-up area, supermarket, racecar circuit, makeup dressing room, Inuit snow area, baby zone for under twos and more.
As always, there are also loads of slides, ball and foam pits, obstacle courses, trampolines and all that good stuff to thoroughly tire your kids out while they live it large.
Now, we know what you’re all thinking: “That sounds nice, but do they have a restaurant that serves pan-fried ginger flavor goose liver with caramel apple and mango port sauce?”
Of course they do! What self-respecting indoor play center doesn’t? And if you don’t believe us…
Don’t worry, they also serve a decent pizza and pasta and all that stuff at reasonable (under RMB100) prices, as well as fresh juices etc. Oh, and ice cream if you want to treat the brood, or yourself. And like the play area, the restaurant is big with plenty of seating.
(Disclaimer, we expect this place will get packed at weekends, so it may not seem to have plenty of seating once it is.)
Entrance is RMB248 for a day pass (one child, one adult; RMB50 for an extra adult), RMB1,080 for a five day pass (one child, two adults), RMB2,880 for a 15 day pass (one child, two adults) or RMB12,800 for an unlimited year pass (one child, two adults).
Right, anyone for pan-fried ginger flavor goose liver with caramel apple and mango port sauce?
