Just because the October holiday has ended doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your next staycation! When your family needs a break (but you don’t want to go far) take a look at a kids safari right here in the city.
Kids can enjoy a wild safari full of cute lions and an overnight stay in a tent from the comfort of the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong.
Located within the bustling heart of Lujiazui in Shanghai IFC, the luxurious hotel launched its specialized Ritz-Kids program in 2013 in collaboration with world-renowned oceanographer Jean-Michel Cousteau and his Ocean Futures Society.
The program encourages junior guests aged four to 12 to explore their surroundings and engage with the world around them. Now, the Ritz-Kids program has been upgraded to offer a wondrous overnight adventure.
The fun starts at check-in where junior adventurers are greeted by a plethora of lion toys at the exclusive Ritz-Kids check-in counter on Level 52. There they will receive their first mission, a colorful check-in form full of games that will encourage them to explore their imagination while bonding with the family. Once completed, their reward will be a complementary gift.
Each Night Safari participant’s room will include a tent set-up and inside, kids will find all the supplies they need for a wondrous safari experience including a flashlight, compass, camping bottle and a backpack full of extra camping snacks and goodies.
Parents can hang out in the tent helping kids complete their adventure coloring book. However, each tent will be equipped with a LED lantern so that kids can continue their adventure through the night while the grownups go to bed.
Once the overnight mission is completed, each junior adventurer will receive an explorer certificate and small gift at check-out.
