Attention, Dads! If you are looking to buy a great suit, this men's store can provide you with great prices and a relaxed experience.
If you're after a Savile Row suit at Shanghai prices, Suitsupply is the place to go. Already present in the city with a shop in Jing’an, the European menswear brand has recently opened a flagship/mansion on Anfu Lu, a three-story space that blends contemporary design touches with a thoroughly former French Concession feel (wooden floors, art deco-inspired fixtures). The place is impressive – the folks behind the label must have spent a fortune renovating the property – aiming to offer top-notch service to Shanghai's fashionable chaps. There’s even a private garden at the back where you can chill as your suit gets made (besides regular pieces on sale, Suitsupply flaunts a tailor-made service), and a sun house that doubles as a bar. Because no real man should shop without a martini in hand. A regular suit starts from as little as RMN2,980, with jackets around RMB2,180 and shirts at RMB580, but there’s no corner-cutting. Bespoke pieces start at RMB6480. The selection of fabrics is varied, meaning your suit can be as basic (or as swish) as you like.
