Three beloved stories by award-winning author and illustrator Eric Carle, including his modern classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar, are brought to life onstage through the magic of black light and puppetry. Experience this imaginative approach to storytelling through theatre, which is narrated by Dashan, a Canadian performer and TV personality well known for his Chinese language skills.

June 9: The Way We Love: Caring x Sharing x Giving
For the benefit of children with congenital heart diseases, Shanghai Children's Health Foundation joins hands with Beacon of Love to present this meaningful Children's Day event. Here you can indulge in a tasty buffet lunch and also enjoy storytelling, kids' etiquette lessons, a craft workshop, family dancing and music, parenting salon, family photo booth and more.

June 9: Summer Concert: SHCAT Junior Orchestra
Founded in November 2016, SHCAT orchestra now has 70 youth musicians, and has presented three public concerts and two charity concerts so far. This summer concert will include a repertoire of four solos and ten orchestra pieces and one quintet. All the music is arranged or composed by Mr. Gary Sanderson, and includes styles such as western, classical, Chinese traditional folk, jazz and ethic.

June 10: Best Friends China Pet Adoption
Local animal adoption platform Best Friends China is hosting its next adoption fair at The Place, Hongqiao. The event welcomes adopters looking to provide new homes for puppies and kittens, pet owners interested in chatting to pet clinic representatives, as well as volunteers to help out at the event.

All Month: Nickelodeon Exhibition
If your kids are fans of Nickelodeon’s cartoons, then they are in luck. Jul 20-22: Classic Picture Book Play: Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny
