Beautiful South Bund Chinese restaurant Puben, invites guests to experience their new 'Flavours of China' brunch. A journey of taste that takes diners to the four corners of China, by delivering regionally-inspired dishes alongside fabulous tea cocktails and traditional Chinese entertainment, a sure wonder for the kids.
Tempting guests to a day-time exploration, the menu highlights flavour profiles found in northern, eastern, southern and western China or "Dong, Nan, Xi, Bei" (东南西北), as the locals would say.
The Puben experience
Available every Saturday 11.30am–2.30pm, the Flavours of China brunch is priced from RMB250 for five dishes (children under 8 years complimentary). Start your journey with a choice of cold appetizer, including Sichuan '5-chilli' Chicken with Peanuts, Sour Plum and Sweet Vinegar Cherry Tomatoes and South Western, Baby Lettuce Shoot Fungus Salad with Yunnan Termite Mushrooms.
The next leg on the journey takes diners to southen China, famous for its delicious Dim Sum. Choose between Char Siu Roast Pork Bo Lo Bau and Goose Liver Xiao Long Bao, and then enjoy Signature Black Gold Egg Custard Buns with edible gold brush marks and a delicious duck yolk centre.
A famous Cantonese proverb, "Anything that walks, swims, crawls or flies with its back to heaven are edible" (背脊向天嘅都可以食), inspires the next dishes. From land and sea to air, dineres can enjoy a choice of dishes including a sumptious Angus Beef Tenderloin with Chinese Walnuts, Crispy Taiwanese Prawns with Fresh Mango, Kumquat, Pomegranate and Da Lian Wasabi and Guangdong Bi Feng Tang Fried Pork Ribs with Garlic Tea Flakes.
As a sweet finale, diners travel to south west China with a choice of dessert made from the renowned Yunnan rose, not only pleasant in appearance but also in taste. Presented as a delectable Yunnan Edible Rose Puff Pastry or Da Li Homemade Rose Ice Cream, this is the perfect last stop on the food journey.

To compliment the Flavours of China brunch, a wonderful selection of tea cocktails are available as part of a 2-hour free-flow offer priced at RMB128 per person, with the option to splash out an additional RMB60 for sparkling Chandon wine.

Enjoy family friendly activities such as a traditional Chinese performance Bian Lian – Sichuan face changer magic, a Chinese zodiac balloon artist and a Beijing opera mask art station; all great ways to keep the kids (and Mom and Dad) entertained.

With the arrival of spring, there are many fresh and fun ways to get to Puben’s Flavours of China brunch at South Bund. With the recent completion of the Bund promenade, stroll along the Huang Pu for a great afternoon out, take the ferry to Fuxing Dong Lu Pier or use the metro to Xiao Nan Men or Nan Pu Da Qiao.
