This summer, the Nord Anglia Chinese International School Shanghai will provide a one of a kind opportunity for students to be immersed in the performing arts. The Strings programme is an intensive programme for talented string players looking to take their craft to the next level. The Juilliard School is a world leader in performing arts education and this programme represents an exclusive opportunity for students ages 12-18 to study closely with Juilliard artist faculty.
The immersive program provides an intense two-week experience for talented students ages 12-18 focused on developing their abilities further – taking their playing to the next level. Students will be challenged to raise their technical and musical levels in both solo and ensemble contexts through detailed study of prepared repertoire and exploration of new repertoire.
Musicianship, collaboration, and technical achievement will be paramount, working towards culminating final performances.
Over the course of two weeks, the students will develop their technical abilities and use their new skills to play with passion and depth. Each student will receive multiple private one-to-one lessons with Juilliard artist faculty. There will be daily string orchestra rehearsals and chamber music coachings, as well as opportunities to participate in seminars and workshops that may include:
