On Saturday May 30, French clothing brand Petit Bateau held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of their new flagship store at Jing An Kerry Centre. The brand, which has a history dating back to 1893, was founded in the French town of Troyes by Pierre Valton. Known for its comfortable yet creative and playful cotton materials, Petit Bateau is a multi-generation brand worn by babies, kids and adults with T-shirts and pants as their main reference point.
The new store at the Kerry Centre offers comfortable, soft materials, playful colors and timeless design and is one of the latest additions to China's rapidly growing children's luxury clothing industry. At the opening, internationally acclaimed artist, performer and children’s book creator Hervé Tullet held a painting activity for children and parents. Tullet, known for his colorful and refined illustrations, has been part of the Petit Bateau Brand for a few years, designing collections and creating wall art with children on the Paris store’s walls, among other things.
