Presenting a collection of over 200 pictures and other items, it includes illustrations late Qing Dynasty novels, along with pictures taken during the ‘Reform and Opening up.’ It’s a great way to become more familiar with the culture of Shanghai by reliving the old.

Dec 30-31: Franz Welser-Möst – Shanghai Grand Theatre 2018 New Year’s Concert
As 2018 draws to a close, Shanghai Grand Theatre will present a concert to bid farewell to the past and welcome the new year. Franz Welser-Möst, is one of the most distinguished conductors in the world. As the music director of the Cleveland Orchestra, he conducted the Vienna New Year's Concerts in 2011 and 2013. This will be his premier in China, so don’t miss the opportunity!

Dec 30-May 20: Tadao Ando – Leading
As one of the most renowned architects in Japan, Tadao Ando achieves his accomplishments without any formal training in the field. Despite being a self-taught architect, his works have innovated traditional architectural design. This will be the first time for the master to showcase his production in his self-designed art museum, and visitors are sure to get some insight from his inventive designs.

Jan 1-21: Mozart - L’Opera Rock
This fun and accessible musical for teen audiences tells the life story of acclaimed composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart using a combination of original pop-rock songs and Mozart’s famous compositions. With dramatic Baroque costume design and an engaging storyline, the musical has toured the world with success before arriving here in Shanghai.
