The clock is ticking towards the New Year and in the spirit of reflecting on the year that has passed and thinking about the changes they wish to make for the future, we asked students from Britannica International School, Shanghai to tell us their 2018 resolutions.
Ranging from academic achievement, athletics and musical performances to family and enhancing their culinary skills, these resolutions are an eye-opener into the lives of the future generation.
To start us off, Urban Family’s number one resolution – 'Stick to our New Year’s resolutions!'
1. Get better at multiplication
2. Concentrate harder
3. Get better at English

1. I want to get better at helping my mum.
2. I want to help more animals.
3. Swim more faster and run more faster because I’m on the swim squad.

Achieve House Points quicker than I do now.
Be more ‘on earth’ when I am reading.
Be better at football.
Be quicker at packing.

1. To get better at football by training, shooting, passing, dribbling and goal keeping each week with Aksil team.
2. To cook more for my family, to help them.

At the end of the year I want that I will have better handwriting and that I will be more responsible. I will also love to be more creative.

Over this school year I joined the Britannica Frisbee Team, so one of my resolutions is to improve that. Another resolution is to try much harder with my homework and strive for a 100% mark.

During the time in Britannica, I joined the school’s football team, so one of my resolutions is to improve our teamwork and how we communicate. Another one is to help people respect each other more.

My New Year resolutions include being involved in more singing events in school, including getting into the school musical! I would also like to make sure I show everyone how important they are to me by getting them all a Christmas present.
