On September 19, 2017, Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiaotong University (ACEM) signed an agreement with Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), becoming the first and only business school in East China with exemption recognition of CT series subjects for students attaining required marks.
The deputy party secretary of ACEM Dr. Zhang Donghong, the director of Executive Education Center Professor Peng Juan, deputy director Professor Jiang Yiyun, and CEO of IFoA Derek Cribb attended the signing ceremony.
Derek Cribb says, "I’m very glad to sign the agreement with ACEM on behalf of IFoA. Actuarial science was originated in Britain and we are now working with many splendid universities around the world to cultivate this course. It means a lot for ACEM to become the first business school in East China with exemption recognition. We expect to have more cooperation with ACEM in the future.”
Actuarial science is a fast-growing subject in China. With the development of IOT (Internet of Things) and the coming age of big data, actuaries are in big demands.
