Junior American Explorers
Give your child the experience of learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and social studies in an American-style classroom environment. This course consists of double two-week sessions. Each class will have no more than 20 students. One class will consist of incoming second, third and fourth grade students. The other class will consist of incoming fifth and sixth grade students. Employing a curriculum that was developed and used in California yet condensed and customized for International students, this program is ideal for participants from all nationalities. Columbia Business School
The six-day class offered will enable students to aquire techincal knowledge and skills in venture creation, industry and market dynamics, strategy formation, prouduct development, leadership, operations and finance. Participants also increase college level research, project management, communication and team skills. The entire course will be taught by a Columbia Business School VFA Professor.

Summer School 2017 at BISS Puxi

iMandarin Summer Camp
This year’s camp includes arts, culture, sports as well as practical Mandarin lessons. Camp runs from 9.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. Every morning little campers will get to know more about Chinese culture through their Mandarin lessons at iMandarin Language Centre. Every afternoon they are given a wide range of exciting activities, including Arts & Crafts, Public Speaking and Adventure Theatre at Children’s Boutique Activity Centre. Free shuttle buses will be provided between the two campuses. Lunch, snacks and fruits will be provided.
Aerospace Robotics Camp
Back again for a second year is the hugely popular STEM camp led by Dr. Sam Bae Ph.D, Aerospace Engineer from UCLA and founder of Space Camp Korea and Space Camp Los Angeles, USA. The Aerospace Robotics Camp is a combination of visual lectures and hands-on building activities to keep students engaged and curious about various science and engineering disciplines while having a fun experience. Robotics provides an ideal platform for introducing STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) topics related to real world science applications. The camp’s goals are to foster the importance of teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking and exploration of the scientific method.

Explorer’s English Camp
This summer explore the world of the English language and culture. This camp offers dynamic reading, writing, grammar and social studies classes, as well as weekly field trips guided by trained teachers following a curriculum designed by U.S. educators. Ivy League Camps
This summer, Ivy League Camps returns to China in partnership with Wellington College International Shanghai and Talent Academy, one of China’s leading providers of programs in art, drama, dance and sports. Socratic Reading and Writing Camp
Kids will experience a class similar to a Western high school and enjoy the mix of fun and challenging reading material. They will learn how to decipher difficult texts with their hands-on, bilingual, interactive teachers. They will further improve the critical reading and writing skills they will need in college and strengthen their ability to read and understand ideas quickly.
Genius Workshop Summer Camp
