About Felicia Toh
Born and raised in Singapore, Felicia first stepped on the mat in 1999 in Australia and was immediately drawn to the magical and therapeutic effects during and after the practice. The peace and clarity she received from practicing yoga was what motivated her to come back to the mat again and again. Felicia sees yoga as a life-long process of learning and re-learning which ultimately leads us to our higher purpose of being.
Richard Freeman and Joyce Ho are the two main teachers that have influenced her practice, her style of teaching and even her way of life. Richard has always been Felicia's idol for his beautiful and inspiring yoga practice. Joyce was her first Pilates teacher and has inspired Felicia to delve deeper into Fletcher Pilates, a physical transformation that leads from strength to balance to grace. As a mother of two, Felicia considers her children to be her best teachers in teaching her patience, curiosity and keeping a childlike heart.
Felicia's classes are both fun and challenging. She uses a lot of humor to get her students to laugh more. Her teaching focuses on alignment and breathing, with the aim of cultivating a deep connection that facilitates movement from the core. She believes yoga is a powerful tool to clear emotional and energetic blockages, and to foster deeper levels of self-acceptance and compassion for others. Her teaching seeks to build physical and mental strength and help her students feel a sense of well-being and groundedness.
