Shanghai Qibao Dwight High School (QDHS) was officially opened in August 2014 and is the first and only independent, Sino-U.S. cooperatively run high school in China. It is a nonprofit, coeducational institution, grades 10-12, offering International Baccalaureate® (IB) curriculum, Cambridge curriculum, select courses from the Chinese national curriculum, elective courses, and service learning projects. As a model of Sino-U.S. cooperation, QDHS serves as a laboratory for the cultivation of globally minded students equipped to make positive contributions to society.
QDHS is the product of a partnership between two schools, Qibao High School in Shanghai and the Dwight School in New York, with a joint governing board providing oversight to ensure rigorous standards are upheld. Located in the Minhang District of Shanghai, QDHS has been approved by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. QDHS is WASC Accredited.
