Any parents looking for a fun family way to spend a Saturday, while helping charity at the same time, should bring their kids along and head to the Canton Tower on Saturday, November 28.
Guangdong International Volunteer Expat Service (GIVES) is hosting its annual International Food and Fun Fair at this very special venue as the charity celebrates its 20th anniversary. As always, it will be an exciting mix of fabulous food and drink from around the world as well as fun activities and entertainment. This year there is the added ingredient of seeing the Canton Tower’s Christmas lights turned on, followed by an evening concert. Opening at 11am and closing around 9pm, it is expected to be the biggest and best event in its proud history.
GIVES President Rosaline Yam, one of the founders two decades ago, said: “It is a great venue that offers us the chance to get more people involved, offer an even wider range of food and fun, and reach out to the whole community here in Guangdong, both locals and expats. At GIVES, we have the motto of working ‘Hand in Hand,' which means we want to work together with the local community to continue to make a real difference. Our current focus is to make a difference in the way autism is treated here in China.”
Raising money for charity has never been more enjoyable, so head to the Canton Tower on November 28 to experience all the fun of the Fair. .
