Shenzhen native Jennifer Cao is a happy, happy woman and that she says, was her secret to her pregnancy. Married to Eli Pomerleau, the couple got married four years ago and Jennifer delivered Vera naturally in January 2013. As a local, she has faith in the medical system and was lucky to have a good doctor that understood her needs. “Even though both Eli and I come from different backgrounds, we made it a point to respect each others’ ways and together, we had a very positive experience.” Jennifer also says that she received plenty of support from her family, especially her mother, who made countless bowls of fermented rice and egg soup to promote good health and increase milk flow. Her advice to other expectant Moms is to always be happy, look to the end result and don’t fret over the little things. “It’s a baby! You simply can’t go wrong with the gift of life!”
