Two Taiwanese pineapple farmers make a fortune every year by selling slices of the fruit to Chinese tourists.
The couple have been selling the pineapple for decades at the same stall between Jhuci interchange and Dongyi road in Minxiong, Chiayi county and have built up a great reputation for the quality of their fruit.
As a result, guides regularly deliver bus loads of tourists to the couple, after being impressed by the taste. Many people from the mainland have never tasted the fruit before and are offered a tour of the farm. The couple also offer a whole plate of the fruit to the visitors whether they buy some of the produce or not.
The couple make 206,335 yuan ($33,000) per year and business is booming so much that they've had to increase their number of employees from two to five.
